Sing Buri is a properous city in the history at the Chao Phraya Riverside, where the glory of Bang Rajan is occured. It is one of important trading centers in Central Thailand now.

The city was established in 1895 by King Rama V, through a consolidation of 3 small riverside towns at the north of Ang Thong province, including Sing Buri, In Buri, and Phrom Buri. The new city was named "Sing Buri" since then. |
In Ayuthaya period, this location is where the historic story of "Bang Rachan" had occurred. It was a praiseworthy glory of Ban Bang Rachan villagers who fight with all their might in a war with Burmese invaders.
